La joven profesional realizó un magnífico trabajo de diseño arquitectónico sobre el Viejo Molino Harinero de Arrecifes como tesis de graduación de su carrera en la Universidad Nacional de La Plata, buscando una expresión de nuestra identidad que, a lo largo del tiempo, conforma además un patrimonio que refleja las particularidades de cada región del país.

Esa creación de Micaela fue presentada luego en el mencionado concurso, que reunió trabajos que revitalicen espacios abandonados de todo el país (trenes, silos, fábricas) con fines culturales, educativos, de salud o comunitarios, excepto viviendas.

Los premios se dividieron en zonas, Nacional, y Regiones 1, 2 y 3. El proyecto de rehabilitación de Micaela fue utilizando como inspiración el Viejo Molino, ubicado a la vera de nuestro río, y obtuvo el primer premio de la Región 1.

La propuesta de la arrecifeña, en un trabajo que le demandó aproximadamente dos años, busca rescatar y poner en valor el Molino, pieza emblemática e histórica de nuestra ciudad, otorgándole un nuevo uso como Centro de Investigación y Divulgación de Energías Renovables.

En la charla con Bouvier y con el director general de Gobierno, Fernando Svaluto, la joven arquitecta explicó el proyecto edilicio, mencionando que a la planta principal se le sumaría una estructura paralela y homóloga, elaborada con materiales y texturas contrapuestas. La iniciativa incluye estrategias bioambientales y se completa con laboratorios, salas de audiciones y de exhibiciones, mediatecas y hasta miradores, entre otros espacios.
