COMENZARON LAS EVACUACIONES POR EL DESBORDE DEL RÍO ARRECIFES

La Municipalidad de Arrecifes y la Dirección General de Defensa Civil informan el cuadro de situación a las 8:00 de este jueves respecto de la crecida del río Arrecifes, debido a las incesantes lluvias de los últimos días, que aún persisten.

Hasta momento se estima que han caído alrededor de 150 milímetros de lluvia en nuestra ciudad, sumados al aumento del nivel de los cursos de agua de la región que convergen en el río Arrecifes.

Las evacuaciones se iniciaron en la noche del miércoles, a cargo de Bomberos Voluntarios, con una familia cuya casa quedó anegada por el agua en inmediaciones de calle San Pedro.

En la mañana de hoy, esta tarea continuó en el fondo de avenida Lavalle. Los afectados son trasladados al Microestadio del Polideportivo Municipal.

Personal de Bomberos Voluntarios y las áreas municipales de Acción Social y Servicios Generales se encuentran trabajando desde ayer en el plan de contingencia dispuesto por Defensa Civil; también en la contención y asistencia de las familias afectadas.

El río continúa creciendo, en estos momentos llegando a la pasarela. El Servicio Meteorológico Nacional ha extendido la alerta por tormentas y lluvias intensas en toda la zona hasta el mediodía de mañana.
