DÍA DE LA MUJER: LA MUNICIPALIDAD VUELVE A ENTREGAR LOS PREMIOS MAFALDA MERLASSINO

Con motivo de celebrarse el próximo 8 de marzo el Día Internacional de la Mujer, la Municipalidad de Arrecifes retomará la entrega de los Premios Mafalda Merlassino, en reconocimiento a mujeres destacadas de nuestra comunidad.

Esta distinción fue instaurada en el año 2012, durante la gestión del entonces intendente Daniel Bolinaga, para mantener vivo el recuerdo de una dama que fue un ejemplo dentro de nuestra sociedad.

El actual intendente, Fernando Bouvier, decidió continuar este acto de homenaje a mujeres arrecifeñas, que este año tendrá su quinta edición.

Esta ceremonia de homenaje a la mujer arrecifeña será el viernes 8 de marzo a las 20:00 en el edificio del Balneario Municipal.

PARTICIPACIÓN DE LA COMUNIDAD

Para la elección más justa de las mujeres a destacar, se invita a participar a todos los vecinos de Arrecifes sugiriendo nombres de damas que consideran son merecedoras de recibir esta distinción. El fin de esta invitación es la certeza de que muchas mujeres trabajan en pos de la comunidad en forma anónima y por tal motivo quizás no todos tengamos conocimiento de su tarea.

Los rubros en los que se seleccionarán tres mujeres en cada uno, son:

  • -Laboral/Empresarial
  • -Comunitaria/solidaria
  • -Educacional/Docente
  • -Salud
  • -Cultural/Artística
  • -Atención al público

Ya comenzaron a recibirse los votos de vecinos que proponen a diferentes mujeres merecedoras este premio. Las sugerencias pueden enviarse por los siguientes medios:

QUIÉN FUE MAFALDA MERLASSINO

La querida y respetada Mafalda, hermana del Dr. Carlos Luis Merlassino (Ciudadano Ilustre de Arrecifes y cuya avenida principal lleva su nombre), cumplió un rol fundamental en su época con su profesión de obstétrica, recibiendo a la vida a centenares de arrecifeños, muchos de ellos en sus hogares.

Fue una de las primeras egresadas de la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, graduándose en abril de 1950, a los 24 años de edad.

Mafalda cumplía su trabajo con una admirable vocación, muchas veces yendo caminando al lugar donde se la requería, cualquier día y a cualquier hora.
