Traer la Universidad a Arrecifes no es tarea sencilla pero tampoco imposible, en absoluto. Eso sí: requiere de intenciones serias, porque precisamente es tan seria la Educación que no puede quedar en promesas electorales. También demanda gestiones, trabajo y esfuerzo para cumplir con todo lo que una universidad requiere -y no es poco- para venir a dar clases a nuestra ciudad. Pero con ganas, vocación y amor por la educación pública, se logra.
Esto quedó evidenciado este lunes 11 de marzo, exactamente a sólo tres meses del inicio de gestión del intendente Fernando Bouvier, quien cumplió rápidamente con su palabra comprometida en el proceso electoral. A las 16:30 de hoy, la Universidad Nacional de San Antonio de Areco inició el dictado de la carrera de Analista en Informática en Arrecifes ante 46 alumnos presentes en el aula creada por esta gestión municipal en la Estación de la Juventud.
En el año del 75° aniversario de la gratuidad universitaria en la República Argentina, ya es una realidad también en nuestra ciudad; un primer paso de otros que se darán para aumentar la oferta académica.
La carrera de Analística en Informática ya comenzó a cursarse, y pronto se iniciará la Tecnicatura Universitaria de Gestión Ambiental, también incluida en el convenio firmado entre la UNSAdA y la Municipalidad de Arrecifes, cuando se complete toda la documentación correspondiente ante la Jefatura Distrital de Educación.
El propio Intendente y dos de las educadoras que forman parte de su equipo de trabajo, la secretaria de Gobierno María Julia Marincovich y la directora de Educación María Inés Álvarez, son los mayores responsables de esta hermosa realidad para la comunidad arrecifeña. Pero también colaboraron otras áreas de la gestión y los propios trabajadores municipales, consiguiendo los muebles, haciendo varios viajes a Buenos Aires a buscarlos y refaccionando un espacio que se convirtió en un aula modelo.
“Acaba de arrancar en Arrecifes el dictado de una carrera universitaria de pre-grado. Y no podemos más que estar felices. Lo consideramos un hecho histórico en la educación pública arrecifeña, puesto que durante 2024 se celebra el 75° aniversario de la gratuidad universitaria en la República Argentina y nuestra comunidad ahora está incluida.
Estar presentes en la Estación de la Juventud y escuchar a la profesora enseñando álgebra con el aula completa, hace que todo el esfuerzo valga la pena. Conocer cada una de las historias de quienes están cursando y poder acompañarlos, es una enorme satisfacción.
Saber que es la primera vez para muchos de cursar una carrera universitaria a pesar de estar cansados por sus trabajos o sus obligaciones familiares, e igualmente pueden estudiar, da cuenta de una posibilidad inigualable para quienes lo deseaban.
Seguiremos adelante pensando en los que hoy no pudieron empezar porque lo intentaron pero no lograron cambiar sus horarios laborales, buscando otras ofertas académicas para que también tengan su posibilidad en nuestra ciudad. Gracias a todos los que lo hicieron posible y a la gran cantidad de arrecifeños con ganas de superarse educativamente”, coincidieron las citadas funcionarias municipales.
